I remember Reed's and Bloomquist's hot streak but I didn't know Rene Rivera had one. What happened to him.

René Rivera (born July 31, 1983 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico) is a Major League Baseball catcher who currently plays in the New York Mets organization.

Rivera was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the second round (49th overall) of the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his major league debut September 22, 2004. After playing 35 games for the Mariners in 2006, Rivera, in 2007, played for the Mariners Double-A affiliate, the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, batting near the Mendoza Line the entire season.

On November 22, 2007, Rivera signed a minor league contract that included an invitation to spring training with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers assigned him to Jacksonville to begin the 2008 season. While at Jacksonville, Rivera began playing some first base, along with catcher, and was promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas on June 3. He became a free agent after the season ended, and signed with the New York Mets in November 2008.

    DIAMOND JAXX REPRESENT!

After MLB 09 The Show I've become so used to that team because of how long it takes to get out of the minors.

Yeah, I got that but how did he regress so much? Even his 06 year wasn't that bad for a backup catcher. I though he had potential. I guess they called him up too fast.

    Re: .400

When I was growing up, it seemed likely: Carew, Boggs, Gwynn, even Brett, Madlock, Mattingly, Oliver, or a guy like McGee, Wilson. Now it just doesn't seem like it is. Not only the change in strategies and artificial turf and stadiums, but in the way people hit, and their speed. Maybe more line drive hitters will come along...

    Or when.

Same with me, if you focus totally on hitting at first you can get called up pretty quickly. Though with the goals in the newer MLB the Shows that is not so easy. I hate how it makes you improve bunting so much, I never bunt!
