    No. You can call up UP TO everyone.

    So what position will Ackley play? I've heard center but we already have Gutierrez and Saunders. Could he move to second and have Lopez move to first and have Carp DH.

    No, if you call somebody up, they must go on your 40 man roster, but you can only call up 8 additional players, you're not forced to carry 40 with you.

    Tampa Bay's first round pick, Levon Washington, did not sign. And apparently he doesn't even qualify for college at Florida. Probably gonna go the JC route.

    Yea, he has until next year's draft to sign because he played in independent ball. Same way with 1st round supplemental pick, Tanner Scheppers, who was drafted by the Rangers.
