I think they really should move him to 2B. The OF is just way to crowded for the next 4 years (minimum) and there's already lots of depth there. His bat doesn't profile to well in the corners and Gutierrez is just to valuable in CF. His arm isn't that great, but he's athletic and I think he would fit perfectly at 2B.

If Ackley can play adequate 2B, than I agree that's where they should put him.

Gutierrez is just way too good defensively to move him from CF as long as he's Adam Everett at the plate.

Metsguy meant the Mets pick Stephen Matz, not Tyler Matzek.

LOL @ everyone who thought it was Matzek Can't blame MG for that one.

Also, check out this quote I got in an e-mail from the Mariners about Ackley

"There are those people that when you meet them, you know. They look you in the eye and give off a presence. Derek Jeter always had it. Joe Mauer. Grady Sizemore. Torii Hunter. Derrek Lee. David Wright. Chase Utley. Ryan Zimmerman. Darin Erstad. And now Dustin Ackley."

DARIN ERSTAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mariners are officially WS favorites every year because we have the new Darin Erstad.

Keith Law, Tim Dierkes, Baseball America, the New York Daily News, and TheRopolitans.com have all said they signed him.
