    Lowest team batting average to make the playoffs--

    The record holders for a World Series winner are the famous "Hitless Wonders"--the Chicago White Sox of 1906, who had a team batting average of .228.

    Since the playoff system started the team with the lowest batting average is "The Amazin' Mets" of 1969. They hit .242 as a team.

    Ozzie no, and I'm pretty sure that Willie never stole 500 bases haha, and he was a number 3 hitter for a long time.
