We'll give you Carlos Silva. Dave Duncan has a way with pitchers so what do you have to lose?

It's going to take a lot more than that to land Halladay...

yep, he's guaranteed pretty much to be a Type A so you would have to start with 2 first round talents and then add to that. it's gonna be like a Texas/Atlanta - Teixeira deal.

Prolly more than the Bedard deal. Someone is about to get raped.

Bedard honestly isn't gonna bring much back because of his DL problems. Probably a bit more than Washburn, but we won't get what his talent is worth.

As per Joe Strauss' twitter (a Cards reporter)

Asked about the price tag for Halladay, a club source said: "Give Ricciardi all our minor-league rosters and let him circle any 5 names."

I was talking about the first Bedard trade that brought him to Seattle. That would be a good benchmark for the Jays.

    Re: Trade Rumors

Honestly, halladay would be worth it, pick 5 names riccardi. Screw it. Halladay surely won't get hurt we need another big pitcher contracted like we need another hole in the head. But he is probably worth it.

I said todd and wallace bc of mlbtraderumors.com

    Re: Trade Rumors

I really wouldn't want to give up Halman, Aumont, Moore, Truinfel and a PTBNL (which would be Ackley a year after he signs) to get Halladay. But if you Cards fans feel that way, go ahead and destroy your farm.

Wallace, todd, jay, kozma, and possibly miller, for an almost gaurenteed 20 game winner for our team would be well worth it. The only one I would be partial to is wallace, he seems to be a solid 300 hitter when he gets to the majors.

You're only getting hm for a year and 2 months though.
