How it happened. Special footage
Uggla and Fielder could be traded this offseason.
any predictions what it would take to pull these guys from their respective teams?
If mil moved Fielder, it would be for front line pitching....and if he does what his dad did post 26 years old, you could assume he could do quite well over the next few years.
Uggla is a different story, not sure what Florida would really expect for Uggla, a better bullpen? prospects too i assume.
Yahoo is reporting that the reds or pirates could interests in Rick Ankiel this offseason.
I don't see why either team would want him. Cincy doesn't need another left handed hitting outfielder, especially w dickerson and bruce. And the pirates nor reds will likely be spending money this offseason on any veterans
The Pirates have a fine competitive outfield with McCutchen, Jones, and Milledge. I don't think Ankiel is an upgrade over any of them, and certainly not once you consider the money side of things
I can see Ankiel only going to the A.L. or maybe San Francisco.
I have always thought the Mariners would want him.
Of course, he could be resigned in St. Louis, but i doubt Boras let's him sign anything short of a starter's contract.
Even though Colorado has a million outfielders, I would love to see Ankiel go there. I remember that one game in Colorado where he hosed down a couple of guys in a game from like the fence without a bounce. His numbers would probably really jack up as well, haha.
Yeah, I definately gotta check that out again. Amazing highlights.
I would take Ankiel on the Tigers. Not for a particularly high price though.
Illini.
Yeah I need a Winn-Dixie grocery bag full of money right next to the VIP section...
well it likely would come with one, Boras won't be cheap this year, just like he isn't any other year. I am thinking something like a three year, 18 million dollar deal to land him, which is over paying for him.
