    Trade Rumors

A place for you to list speculations of potential trades...

    you are welcomed to reference

    MLBtraderumoers.com

    all you want.

The one trade i am interested in learning more about is:

How realistic is it that Matt Holiday could become a Cardinal this year?

After the DeRosa deal, is there a chance for this deal?

I am ok with moving Ludwick, even though he is arby available for another 2 years, and that Holiday will be unristricted after this year. I am ok with moving Luddy and a Motte like player for Holiday....but I don't know what Beane can expect to get.

I have heard they want Wallace, Moz better not!

    Re: Trade Rumors

I could see Holliday in a few places. Does anyone think San Fran could make a move? The team is in position to win and could try for him on loan.

He'll be a Yankee or in Boston by 2010 though.

I don't see him in New York or Boston next year. i think he'll end up in the national league one, and two...i think it depends on who trades for him...a team like STL will resign him, the Brewers (for example) wouldn't

It also depends if he wants to play for a division champ like the Brewers will be, as opposed to the Cards

    Re: Trade Rumors

I think the Yankees will make a play for him. I mean how huge would that lineup be with Holliday instead of Damon. And with Lowell's hip being a problem I could see the Red Sox making some moves and maybe bringing Holliday in. DHing Drew.

I highly doubt Ludwick would be involved in a deal for Holliday. That would make no sense from Oakland's standpoint.

from Billy Beane's perspective....he plays for peanuts in comparision...and numberswise...isn't that much worse...and you can have him under control for another two years

You don't trade a 29 year old free agent to be with 3 excellent seasons under his belt, in the midst of another quality season for a 31 year old with one good season in his career. If trading Holliday, the A's need to improve their FUTURE, and a 31 year old outfielder with 1 good season so far does not do that.

Yes, it did, because he was aiming on contending in a weak division.

From where? It's likely wild hopeful speculation from Cardinals fans. Just like when metsguy told me that the Mets should trade Oliver Perez for Matt Holliday.
