Actually, I'm refering to fans (and you know some, or may even be one yourself) that have no idea about baseball, could care less about other teams, and who come up with the most idiotic things I have ever seen in my life.

I post on the Braves's MLB fan forum, and sometimes I want to shoot myself in the face. Here's just a sample of some interesting posts (copied word for word):

In order for the Rangers to stay in contention they must add pitching and we all know the Braves need power to contend.

Braves send Vazquez/Gonzales/johnson and Francour to Texas.

Rangers return Cruz/Kinsler and CJ Wilson.

Call it a gut feeling. Javier Vazquez will be better than Johan Santana this year.

Wish we could trade for Roberts. Mega deal with the Orioles. Francoeur, KJ and 2 minor leaguers for Roberts and Scott

Juan Rivera, Angels, RF: 30 year old, right handed outfielder with power. Perhaps James Parr plus another pitching prospect (AA level) could entice the Angels.

...and here, the coup de grâce:

half of his losses are not wins, so the braves have to make a move. If KK is that great of a pitcher then lets use him as trade bait and get some power and or speed. The Braves have two great rookies on the 25 man roster stick them in the rotation and lets see what we can get for such a great pitchers such as KK.

Umm... is that kinda like "Half of this game is 90% mental."?

the worst part of homerism is the absurd trade offers.

"I think we should trade for Jake Peavy or Adrian Gonzalez. The Padres would ask for Porcello and Perry, but I woudln't go that far. I think something like Galarraga and prospects should be ok"

actually, I find that to be the funniest part. You can get some real laughs reading trade offers from fans. Most fans of any given team tend to overrate their own guys, even the ones they want to get rid of (in fact, especially the ones they want to get rid of), and/or underrate the other team's guys. It's downright comical sometimes.
