BBM 2010 Version update error

So, I try updating / check for new version.

I start BBM2010, go to Help, Check for New Version.

I get this error message:

Error 2. Could not access : "http://www.sportsmogul.com/baseballcd/"

The system could not find the file specified.

I ordered the cd version and used the download link to install and play it until I got the cd. Come to think of it, I never installed the cd. Could this be the problem?

'Check For New Version' is meant to check for a FULL new version (e.g., to take you to the 'Baseball Mogul 2010' page if you are running 'Baseball Mogul 2009'). If you just want the free upgrade to Version 12.12, you can use this link:

http://www.sportsmogul.com/patch/bb2k10-patch-v1212.exe

It'll download a small installer. You then can use the default (usually c:/Sports Mogul/) and let it install, or if you put the game in a custom directory, choose that directory (e.g. c:/games/Sports Mogul/) during the installation process.
