'Best' patch?

Just got the game, is there a patch right now that people prefer over the other? I don't like to change the settings up or down for the most part...just wondering if there is a patch that seems to play the most consistent.

12.06 is the official patch. It works well. 12.08 was fine too.

Personally, I just use the latest unofficial patch since you can continue your saved games as you change patches anyway.

I've been pretty happy with 12.08, which partly addresses the talent inflation problem. From what I've been reading, later patches may have introduced some bugs, and do not fix anything I've been having a problem with.

12.11 is pretty good.

Any patch above 12.10 is good, because it eliminates the potential league exploits.

That's correct. But Version 12.11, although unofficial, has been tested for a while without any new issues popping up.

But there were some serious issues with pitcher usage in 12.10, which are listed as fixed in 12.12 (not out yet.) So I've never replaced 12.08 because new problems DID appear in later patches. If these issues were resolved in 12.11 the FIXED notation should be adjusted.
