I though that but I skimmed over the last page or so of it and couldn't find anything wrong with it. *shrug*

Anyway, I just don't understand the whole concept behind that thread. The whole forum is for "MLB Talk"...
Partially agreed. I think the concept of it was just for a place to (as ragecage said when he made the original thread) BS about baseball. Short throw-away comments that don't belong in their own thread, like "C'mon Mo! Close it out!" and any discussion that follows from that.

A place to talk about specific things in whatever game you're watching. I would hate to see threads like "Mariners vs Red Sox : May 17, 2009" fill up the board just so I can ask if anyone saw this or that happen.

MLB Talk is a nice way to let people talk about whatever is on their mind that really doesn't need a new thread.

No. I bumped up a month old thread to tell people who aren't posting in it that they should be posting in it since there was a thread specifically for that.

Then, you post an unnecessary poll about topics you find unnecessary.
I posted the poll with the intention to appeal to the sensibilities of the people posting the announcer stuff that more than a minority of people would like to see it posted in the announcer thread than the MLB thread.

Fili's internet cred is like 10 now because of that comment. Internet is serious business.

    It's probably less than that.

Back before you were such a respected member of these boards there were a couple of threads where Ohms didn't show a lot of respect towards me.

I might have started today off being a ten, but now it is less-of course.

BTW 4 votes for Stupid announcers and 0 for MLB talk

I voted for the last option because I don't really care. It's on-topic for both threads.

Yep just short BS stuff, I thought it was working pretty good.

I am getting fed up with people complaining about people complaining about announcers. If they are so offended they can skip over it. It is a sports forum, sports talk is for sports stuff. Bad announcers is a sports topic, and we have every right to discuss. You don't have to read every thread made about them, or every post. So quit whining. Seriously.

That was my point RSR. If those types of posts, which annoy more people than just me, were put into a thread, I wouldn't have to read them, or skip over them.

That's why forums have threads to keep like ideas grouped together.

If wassit were to post 'Today in History' in the middle of Cat's latest dynasty, people could easily skip over it, but there's a better way.

And, judging from the poll results-and common sense, it appears that most people think that 'Announcers are idiots' is as good a place, or a better place to post that than MLB Talk.

Im getting tired of people complaining about the people complaining about the people complaining. So there

Actually, the majority in the poll voted the "other option" meaning they likely don't care and are tired of this argument

Except, you know, that would be off-topic, and talking about MLB announcers in "MLB Talk" isn't.

And, judging from the poll results-and common sense, it appears that most people think that 'Announcers are idiots' is as good a place, or a better place to post that than MLB Talk.
Judging from the poll, most people are voting for the final option and aren't really taking this seriously.

Maybe you're not the only one "annoyed" by it...but you are the only one making a huge stink over it.

Re: POLL: What thread should complaining about announcers go in

So, if it doesn't matter to most people, 40% of people think it belongs specifically in Stupid Announcers, and 0% think it belongs specifically in MLB talk then I'd ask those making these types of posts, as one forum user to others, to consider this data, along with the posts expressing annoyance, and please post those types of posts in the stupid announcer threads.
