Thats a question I ponder now, if the actual normal work schedule corresponds with our normal sleep schedule. As a human race I mean.

If I just let myself go my natural rhythm seems to be that I go to sleep at around 3 am and wake up at 10 or 11. It's been that way for as long as I can remember.
you could as well have DSPS to some extent. I am not sure. It could be mild, or maybe you just never wanted to wake up during those hours as a teenager, and now your adult body is used to that....which is the other side. Your body could have learned a routine a long time ago, and now you just haven't been able to really develop the other routine.

As long as you get a decent amount of sleep when you actually do go to sleep, it doesn't really make a difference to your heart.

Apnea definitely does, on two parts, because you're not really fully sleeping and your blood oxygen level decreases (sometimes dramatically).
That's a whole different issue, though.
You insist that there is something a machine cannot do. If you will tell me precisely what it is that a machine cannot do, then I can always make a machine which will do just that! -J. von Neumann

ya def! imagine not being able to work because of it...ouchies.

I dated a girl that would sleep on average 14 hours per day....took me forever to be convinced that she wasn't just a lazy college student with nothing better to do....she actually had a disorder, but I don't remember what it was.

It could be sleep apnea, without treatment thats a major symptom. It just doesnt happen to fat guys like myself, my coworker has it and he weighs a buck 60.

All kidding aside, Jeffie, what you described had nothing to do with your growth, etc... Physiologically you are fine. If you guys wont make fun of me for more than 1 minute, I will take a stab that you are 19-23 years old. After the ha ha, this is actually a normal process. Bad dreams, no sleep, aggression. We all go through this. I cant describe it any other way except you are just becoming a man.

well you are close, going to be 26 this year. which could be true...the height thing....well I am about 6-8 inches shorter then any other male Lage in my family...and I was on pace to be their heights until this age...which is when most of them shot up in height...i am currently around 5-8 or so, my brother is 6-4 for example...and was the same exact height as me when we were both 18...about 5-2....he continued to grow, i slowed down when I started sleeping like this...could be a concidence...but my sleeping disorder is very real at this point. i think I triggered it, but I don't think it's something I can fix either...who knows....even as a child though, my parents could never get me to sleep, or up...I would lay awake in bed until 2 or 3 in the morning, even when I was very litte.

Well, I care, whether I know someone or not doesn't change my sympathy for them. My best friend was killed a few years ago due to his employer's negligence. They were uprooting fence posts, and he got the insanely stupid idea to tie them all to his truck and take off as fast as he could. My friend was about 20 feet away, and one of the post broke free from the rope and impaled him through the head.

Hopefully you took that company for all it was worth.
