Batting Average = H/AB.
So to figure BABIP, we would make H=(H-HR) and AB=(AB-SO), which leaves us with:
(H-HR)/(AB-SO)
right???
I know that should be it, but damned if my brain isn't saying I'm forgetting something.

EDIT: Well, since we're talking about pitchers, it would be:
(HA-HRA)/(ABA-SO) or Hits Allowed minus Home Runs Allowed divided by At-Bats allowed minus strikeouts.
