The two teams were 1-2 in the AL in home runs in 2008, 235-200. In 2007, the Sox had 190 homers, and the Tigers 177. In 2006, it was 236-203. They're both very powerful teams. White Sox ahead, but both teams are certainly "tremendous" in the power department.
