    BM or OOTP

Now, before you go, oh man another comparison between BM and OOTP, what I want to know is which game is best suited for someone aspiring to become a REAL MLB GM. BM is great but it doesn't include 40 man rosters, waiver wire, and all the other micromanagement options. Does OOTP? And where can I find OOTP? I've actually searched the internet for it but to no avail. Thanks in advance.

Yes, OOTP would probably have the options you are looking for, if you don't mind taking a long, long, long time to learn everything about the game. It's not a game where you can just jump right in and start playing right away, unless you turn off most options.

LOL, how hard did you search the internet? Just type in "OOTP" on Google, and the first link that comes up will take you here.

Ah I missed that. In that case, play neither one of them, get out there and start working on securing an internship instead, or getting relevant experience. I don't think "I played a lot of OOTP" on a resume and cover letter will do anything to improve your chances when you apply to be the Dodgers new general manager.

Bingle: I know that LOL. I'm still a sophomore in HS, I have a friend in the scouting department for Seattle who is showing me the ropes and I plan on attending the Isenberg School of Sports Management in Massachusetts, but I figure if I'm going to spend my time playing a text-based sim for baseball it might as well cater to my needs.

I did not find OOTP hard to learn.... Just slower

    Re: BM or OOTP

It is slower because it does more things.

It isn't one or the other for wanting to become a real gm. As for a real GM, OOTP is better for when you want to sim game to game.

At the same time, if you want to sim season to season and focus more on the financial aspects then BM is the game.

In reality no game compares to what a real GM does. Real roster rules are in OOTP, but the financial part isn't.

Get an internship, start networking, hopefully that will get you somewhere.

LOL... No offense but if you searched the internet and couldn't find OOTP, you're better off not starting off with that game anyway!
