but yah, as a braves fan, not much going well for you. Lowe and the other SPs have done well, but being swept by the Fish and scoring like 2 runs in 38 innings is pretty sad.
I do wish someone would dump another one-dimensional slugger - a Thome, a Frank Thomas, etc - to see if the Mets pick them up too. Delgado, Sheffield, and now Wily Mo...crowded outfield of declining one-dimensional sluggers.

Since we're kind of back on topic, I really don't get the signing. I'm not saying it's bad, because it doesn't hurt them in any way, but it seems really redundant after the Sheffield signing. If they wanted to grab someone to stash away as insurance how come they didn't go after guys like Marte or McPherson? Sure they haven't done much and by this point are just reputation, but they probably have more upside than Wily Mo Pena across the board and at least they understand how to put a glove on and chase balls in the field.
