I hate to say this, but I have a feeling the NBA is trying to get a Lakers Cav series.

    My picks:

Lakers over Jazz in 4. Uh, no doubt about this one. Lakers are way, way too strong.

Nuggets over Hornets in 6. The Nuggets are finally good enough to get out of the first round. Hornets don't have enough bench depth to pull out this series.

Mavericks over Spurs in 7. The Mavs are on fire right now! The Spurs are without Ginobli and could be in trouble.

Blazers over Rockets in 7. Brandon Roy is a closer, pure and simple. And now he gets to show it off to the world.

Cavs over Pistons in 4. Too easy for the dominant Cavs.

Celtics over Bulls in 6. Without KG, this series goes longer then it should but the Bulls aren't strong enough to knock off the Celts.

Magic over 76ers in 5. Dwight Howard is just outstanding. No one in Philly can guard him.

Hawks over Heat in 7. Wade is the third best player in the NBA and is rightfully in the discussion for MVP but the Hawks are another year older and have home court.

    SEMIS:

Lakers over Blazers in 7. The Blazers are the only team with a shot to take the Lakers to seven, IMO. They have the interior size and defense and can give Gasol and Bynum a good push or two and get the work with Oden, Outlaw and others. They just don't have enough depth to beat LA however.

Nuggets over Mavericks in 6. The Mavericks aren't quite good enough to beat a Nuggets team that is a lot better then people think.

Cavs over Hawks in 5. Cavs are too good at home and the Hawks just don't have the size inside to contend.

Magic over Celtics in 7. Without KG the Celtics don't have their three party and I don't see them upending Howard and the Magic.

    FINALS:

Lakers over Nuggets in 6. The Lakers are too strong inside, too deep on the bench, and too talented at the guard play for the Nuggets to hold up.

Cavs over Magic in 6. The Cavs are too good at home, the Magic just don't have the guard play to match up with Cleveland.

    NBA FINALS:

Lakers over Cavs in 6. Lakers are too big for the Cavs. Big Z isn't a defensive presence and will get beat up by Gasol, Bynum and Odom.
Just so everyone knows...thus far I've only picked one playoff series wrong.

And EVEN is right there with me.

Is it me, or is NBA.com brutal to navigate?

This western conference finals is gonna be like the basketball of old. Physical, high scoring, and incredibly fun to watch.

Every game will see at least 200 points I bet.

    So far, you are 2-for-2.

As for Game 2 of Lakers-Nuggets, I'm sick of the commentators all going on and on and on about how J.R. Smith committed a jump ball violation by entering the circle before either player touched the ball. I watched it about six times on TiVo and Odom stepped into the circle before Smith, and before the ball was touched.

"The eight non-jumpers will remain outside the restraining circle until the ball has been tapped: Ball awarded out-of-bounds to the opponent."

So, ball should have been awarded to the Nuggets anyway. Then Ariza wouldn't have had to go to the trouble of coughing it up.

The announcers for that game were so Laker biased it was embarrassing.

I kept laughing about how they wanted to see Kobe-LeBron more then the NBA did the way they were talking.

I know, you even see commercials about it, like its predetermined, I really hope not, because really the Nuggets could be up 2-0, I think they will perform much better at home and come ahead 3-1. But if we are talking scenarios, I think the Magic will give LA much more trouble than Cleveland if it goes that far. Howard is a beast.

I think the Magic's 3 point shooting is what is going to give any team problems. But Cleveland is deep and on a mission. I think they will pull it out over Orlando.

Honestly, the way the Nuggets have played at home this playoffs (won by double digits in every game) it's going to be tough for the Lakers to steal one.

If they blow out the Lakers in game three, watch out. This could be a Carmelo-LeBron series after all.

No doubt, people sink game winners all the time, but they usually had time to work with, this one, a catch and shoot with 1 second? Rediculous.
