...And here's the video evidence from May 29, 2007. No wonder the BoSox tried it with Ellsbury...Pettitte was not even close on that night, and Ellsbury's faster than Hill. Pettitte = epic fail when it comes to checking runners at 3B...And I like Andy Pettitte (I can't say that about too many Yankees).

    Re: MLB Talk

I just got back to my friend's house from a 3-game series in Miami - watched the Phillies sweep the entire thing. the Marlins had a bullpen meltdown in the first two games - really ruined great starts by Johnson and Volstad. The first one was unbelievable - people already leaving, then Lindstrom gives up the homer...and another. Crazy.

Chan Ho Park's homerun sailing like 1 foot above the yellow line, 346 feet, was ridiculous. He almost hit another one, but the wind actually didn't help it as much.

Yesterdays game, with that call-up starting, was just painful. My Phillies fan friends went nuts - Moyer was awesome, reaching base THREE times. Hit, BB, HBP. We watched yesterday's game from a suite - had a whole media suite to ourselves, the 4 of us.

There are SO many hot chicks in Miami. And you know what? They are almost all with complete douche guys. So either they really prefer douche guys, or that's all that is available in Miami. So sad.

Anyway, the 3 game series was awesome. And then going to the bar to catch the end of my Sox games - walk off Youk homer, the back and forth fest Saturday, and last night's all around great game. Wow. What a weekend for baseball.

There is a reason that 'douche' guys are 'douche'. I'd elaborate but I think this'd quickly get away from being a MLB talk thread.

Was a good weekend for baseball. The Red Sox/Yankees might have even lived up to the hype. Awesome series. I can't wait to get to a game live.

Jacoby=Awesome. I had a great time at the game, and was happy to see them use Bowden for 2 Innings. A Varitek foul landed two seats to my left. But watching Ellsbury was the highlight. He is easily the most exciting player to watch live.

Jacoby Ellsbury is no better than Mike Sweeney!!

    I was there!!!!!!!!
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

Mike Sweeney has seniority over Ellsbury.

I can't believe how far away the third basemen was though...I understand there are two outs...but hell Jacoby could have had a bigger lead off even.

If I had the oppertunity to do just one thing at the Major League level, I think it would be a walkoff steal of home to with Game 7 of the World Series. Who can think of a play that anyone would get more excited about?

A walk off homer to left field that wins everyone in the USA free tacos from Taco Bell.

I'd be pretty excited just to play in a MLB game.

But the ultimate moment for me would be to jump up and pull 200's HR back to preserve the win. Then I'd go to Taco Bell and buy a bean burrito green instead of red.
