Carl Pavano gave up 9 runs in his one inning outing today.

Bad start for a rotation with a TON of question marks.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

I'd give him a pass for this game. The Rangers pummel everybody.

So glad I don't own Bobby Jenks and his disappearing K's.

Matt Garza could be an ace almost anywhere else. God the AL East rotations are stacked.

I meant disappearing, but I spelled it wrong and right clicked to auto correct...I just assumed it would be at the top, but it isn't even a choice lol.

    Fixed it just now.

Too bad their pitching is non-existing.

Well, I'm certainly not counting him out for the year.....but 9 runs in one inning? Nobody else pitching well for them....their rotation was a concern before and is still one now. If Pavano bombs for them..they could be in trouble.

2-1 victory for the Royals as they win 2 of 3 in Chicago. Soria didn't have good stuff today, but got the job done..despite having to get four outs in the inning (error on Gordon). Crisp with the two run HR in the 8th to decide it.

20 IP, 1 ER from our SPs this series. That'll work.

They should've won ALL THREE. At least IMO.

I STILL would've left Meche in in that first game. (And not just because Meche is on my fantasy team, though I'll admit that might be clouding me judgment some. )

I would've too, with Cruz ready to come in at the first sign of trouble.

However, it's not like if we bring in different pitchers that it means a guaranteed win. I'm very satisfied with 2 of 3 given our offensive woes.

Yeah, I know I get it.

Plus, today they were a little lucky. Soria didn't exactly "have it" today. I really thought he might blow it today.

And what's up with Aviles??? Dammit, he's gotta hit better. (Yeah, he's on my fantasy team too. ) 0-4 today. Well, there were lots of ofers today. It was scoreless until, like the 7th or 8th, right??? (I always switch from game to game to game and it's hard keeping up sometimes. But man I love MLB EXtra innings. )

They're going to go as far as their pitching will take them. Their lineup isn't overpowering, but there's enough "there" there to give them enough if their pitching can only hold up. Today was a good sign.

I love it when the lower market teams at least make noise. Rays last year, hopefully KC this year, don't know when the Bucs are gonna wake up though. And my Nats.................. oh well, maybe my grandson will see them compete.

None of Soria's pitches were working today. The fact that he was able to get the job done while working with no stuff and working around an error speaks a lot about his incredible poise.

0-0 until the 9th. Aviles isn't going to be as good as he was last year, simple as that, he was lucky last year. He should put up servicable numbers for a SS. .270/.320/.440 seems to be the consensus among a lot of fans on what to expect from him. For a SS, that'll do.

KC is getting better, but it's coming in small steps. I don't think they will actually contend this year, but it's at least a possibility.

Joe Morgan would say there's no point in getting frustrated. That doesn't do anybody any good, besides all that matters is that your team scores more runs than the other team. That's what wins you baseball games, that and playing the game the right way.
