Well Cedeno is only out there until Wednesday and then we have Ichiro. I definitely like watching the team and think it will surprise people, mostly because it's the AL West, but when those 2 of those guys get on base I cry a little inside as it becomes station to station. Watching Griffey is painful, he JOGS all the time except his one catch in foul territory and he pump fakes in OF before finally getting the ball to the IF.

You know, I never really liked Ichiro for some reason. I'm not sure why everyone else likes him either. He seems real distant from his teammates.

Bedard is pitching well this year though. His outing on Sunday was amazing. Only if we could get rid of Silva and have Washburn pitch like he pitched his last start.

It probably has more to do with him being fragile then anything. I can't say I blame him and I definitely expected it, but it's still painful to see.

Oh man, Mariners home opener today. Should be filled with a loss thanks to Carlos Silva. Lots of talking about Adenhart (since we're playing the Angels), Mark Frydrck and Harry Kalas (no game yesterday; so gotta catch up) and most likely Griffey acting like a slug out in the OF to please the fans.

    Gonna be a long day.

I don't know who should feel more embarrassed. Gabe Kapler or the Yankees pitching staff.

Fidrych's classic Monday Night Baseball game where he beat the Yanks 5-1 back in 1976 is playing on MLB.com today. Interesting way to check out some players a lot of us have only "seen" in Mogul as well as see "the Bird" in his prime. It's in the fourth inning right now.

The ump crew was the only group of people in that stadium and outside of it who didn't think that Beckett was throwing at Abreu for calling time. To cap it, Beckett then approaches the plate to jaw at Abreu while he stands there; if Abreu had walked out as many steps, he'd have been pitched before he laid a glove on him.

Ordinarily, the Yanks would be the beneficiaries of such largesse; I guess the umps now lump the Sox in there as worthy of official protection.

Though it was interesting how Torii Hunter described it: someone said the wrong thing, and it wasn't the Red Sox. I think Scioscia might have something here: someone needs to review this, and take some appropriate action.
Well, at least there is SOME justice.

Kyle Davies cruising through 4. Great, great trade by DM that he hardly ever gets credit for. Anyone remember who we traded to get him (without looking up??)
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.
