Thumbs up Interesting Article on Science Behind Catching a Fly Ball

Pretty cool little article. I had never really thought much about it, I just did it instinctively when I played OF where things happen so much slower, not like IF where it's all about reflexes and reaction time.

Re: Interesting Article on Science Behind Catching a Fly Ball

Well that explains why i prefer to catch the ball on the run (outfield or infield, flyball or grounder) I guess. Infield popups can be rough if they aren't hit very hard.

The hardest position to judge is catcher (especially when they're hit straight up), because sometimes the ball has an odd spin on it that makes it move closer to the backstop than you would expect.
