    Elijah Dukes or Chase Headley?

Need some help with one of my fantasy baseball teams. I currently have Elijah Dukes slated to start, however Chase Headley is available in my league. Who do I take? They are both 24 years old...I'm up for taking a bit of a risk on either of them.

Dukes is not locked in as the Nationals RF, however he did hit .264/.386/.478 in 276 AB's last year.

Headley is locked in as the starting LF, however he only hit .269/.337/.420 in 331 AB's last year...not to mention over 100Ks.

    Thoughts?
Why does everybody stand up and sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" when they're already there?

    Lets Go Oakland!!!!

Dukes will be a 20-20 guy and Headly will be the Next Adam Dunn or Ryan Howard (All Power). so I'd take Dukes

For this year, I think it's Dukes easily.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

if your league counts arrests or illegitimate children as stats, then you've got to go with Dukes

Headley doesn't come close to the power of those guys.

Where do you get your information? I see Headley as somewhere between Nady and Jaques Jones during his peak

    Dukes.

Headley will be good one day, and I am thinking more along the lines of a Pat Burrell or Pat Burrell-lite. Dukes, however, is decent right now.

I think Burrell is a good comparison, and also maybe a guy like Brad Hawpe or maybe even a Jay Buhner. Regardless, Dukes is definitely the better guy to go with.

I only mentioned arm. It hurts too mention the rest of Hawpe's defense. BUT he is a former 1B, what else would you expect?

I was also speaking primarily in regards to his offense.
