Huh? In what universe is hitting .346/.469/.731 with 3 HR and 5 RBI in 26 at bats "choking"?

Also, the playoffs don't matter for the regular season awards.

I don't think he was (my vote would be for Cliff Lee), but the reason is...the offense is provided from a second basemen plus solid defense there is more valuable than, for example, a very good power-hitting left fielder that sucks on defense and missed a month of the season. He was second in Value Wins among position players. He was third in WARP (Wins Above Replacement Player) in the AL, behind Cliff Lee and Mariano Rivera, tied with Roy Halladay. He was second in Value Over Replacement Player in the AL among position players, a tad behind Alex Rodriguez. He was tied for 6th in Win Shares among position players.

The list goes on and on and on.

    Jon Lester was better.

Than you don't follow baseball very much, because he won the Rookie of the Year last year.

No, they won't be. The Rays turnaround was historic. There isn't a "this years Rays" very often.

You throw a No-Hitter and your the best pitcher on your team so Clay Bucholz was the best pitcher on the Red Sox in 2007

Uh, no. Lester was the best pitcher on the Red Sox because he threw 210 innings with a 144 ERA+ and strong peripherals. Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched 40 less innings with a 159 ERA+ with terrible peripherals.

Than you're oblivious. I also wouldn't call somebody a diehard baseball fan if they're only exposure to other teams beside their favorite is Monday Night Baseball.

I, for example, am I diehard baseball fan. I follow it online, watch any game I can, watch Baseball Tonight/MLB Network, know about things going on all around the league, etc. You're a diehard Cardinals fan, perhaps.
