    Re: 2009 MLB Predictions

All I have to say is this: Don't be totally shocked if the Cards win the NL Central, and I don't think I am being a homer by saying that, they totally shocked me last year, but we are much better then we were last season. I didn't think we would hit .500 last year, but this year, I will honestly be disapointed if we can't piece together a 90 win season, I think they are that good. However, I don't think the Cubbies are anything to bat an eye lash at, and Houston COULD be pretty good, same with Cincy. All I gotta say, don't be shocked if they pull 90 wins out. Hell they could win 75 and I am dead wrong, eh, I've been wrong on worse things before.

ok, I reread what I said, I sound like a total dick of a homer. Eh, I am just pretty happy with how we are shaping up this year. Assuming someone can play third and we have depth in our rotation and pen....were pretty freaking good though

We have enough homers to make fun of here. You are non factor.

Updated. After agonizing over the options, I decided that the Cubs don't have it in them to win the pennant or the World Series.

So, a few days ago, the Mets didn't have it in them, now they're the World Series champs...and the Cubs don't have it in them.

How, exactly, do you decide who "has it in them" and what exactly is "it"?

The ability to win. The Cubs cannot win it all. They find a way to lose every year. The pressure to win is too intense.

The Mets also have a lot of pressure to win it all, but I believe they can overcome that.

    Baseball isn't just stats, dude.

The Mets haven't overcome it the past 2 years, what did they do to improve that?

Metsguy..stop doing this. Yesterday you wouldn't stop saying how much the Mets "don't have it in them" and now you have them as World Series champs. Make up your mind kid. Or give reasons.
    Gooo Angels!

I never said it was just about stats, but, your logic is still inconsistent.

The Mets, who have missed the playoffs two years in a row on the basis of poor September play and are universally considering chokers by those that believe in that, have somehow suddenly found "it" and are going to win the World Series...while the Cubs, who HAVE made the playoffs each of the last two years, just don't have "it."

I'm gonna be boning Jennifer Aniston tonight. I mean, I'll tell her, "Hey, I know I'm just an average looking college student with no money, but hey, I really got it in me" and I fully expect that line to seal the deal. I mean...others might say I won't be able to get her, but I say I "got it in me" so I'm sure it'll happen.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.
