    Managers on the hotseat

So the season starts in a week and Iwas wondering people's opinion on the subject of Who will be the first Managers to be fired? Two come to mind with me, Joe Girardi and Lou Pinella. If either the Yankees or the Cubs sputter out of the gates I think you could see one of these guys getting canned. I'm a life long Cubs fan so I don't like the idea of Pinella getting fired but for what they have spent on that team and last years major crash in the playoffs I could see it happening. What do you baseball fans think?

I don't see how Pinealla could be on the hotseat this year, unless he got off to an awful, awful start....

I'm pretty sure Clint Hurdle is on the hotseat in Colorado. It wouldn't surprise me if Eric Wedge started to feel some pressure if they underachieve this year...Ron Washington in Texas was on it last year to start the year, if I recall..he could be on it again. That's all I can think of for now.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

With the sale of the Cubs coming up and if they start out crappy, I could see him out the door. Depending on how they start Ozzie Guillen could be on the hotseat. It seems he is on the hotseat everyyear.

As a Mariners fan I don't see Piniella on the hot seat either. Even though they didn't win the WS last year he's a good manager and got them to the playoffs with a great record last year. I can't think of that many managers I'd rather have than Piniella.

I thought I read somewhere that he was on the hotseat, but it was probably some writer who was speculating.

Cecil Cooper comes to mind, since Astros ownership seems to expect them to be in contention every single year (and I don't think they will be). Certainly Joe Girardi after the offseason the Yankees just had.

Ehh I am assuming you are talking about the Ringolsby article. The Monforts signed him and O'Dud to extensions last year that go through either next year or the year after

Monforts love Hurdle and O'Dowd because they listen and follow orders.

I don't see Hurdle getting fired unless we have a 100 loss season.

I forgot about Leyland, The Tigers were a disapointment last year. Whats this about Dontrelle Willis? He is on the DL because some emotional problems?
