Proves my point that he's greatly overvalued. Statistically, Ibanez has been a better fantasy value for at least the past 3 to 4 seasons. Considering your only talking 36SB now, thats only 34 more than what you have Ibanez at, and Ibanez's HR, R, and RBI value is much more significant.Crawford is a MUCH more valuable fantasy player. Crawford's ADP is 28 on Mock Draft Central. Ibanez isn't in the top 75. You're greatly undervaluing stolen bases.
I think Crawford has gotten a year older too coming off an injury plagued season. I realize he's at his peak years though he's already had quite a few seasons in the pros and has shown no signs of significant improvement from year to year. Also his "plate approach" hasn't exactly been superb either.Factor in age, and he's not likely to go up. If anything, he's more likely to go down.
Anyway, i said i'd take crawford over ibanez with everything else equal in a fantasy draft, and thats largely because of his "percieved" value. Most mock drafts however rank ibanez as much lower than Crawford. You're typically a more intelligent baseball analyst than your statement about Crawford easily being a better choice than Ibanez. Surely you can admit that the gap in fantasy value hasn't been anywhere near as great as those mock drafts have made it in recent years. Again, Craw has been overrated, Ibanez has been underrated.
65 was runs. 36 was SB.[/QUOTE]
