Howard. Kemp was never a guy who could have legitimately played CENTER in the NBA, which Howard is.

Kemp was a monster and had the (unfulfilled) potential to be in the upper echelon of all time players.

Id definitely pick Howard. But Shawn Kemp was arguably the more entertaining player. I remember being a kid watching Payton throws those crazy alley-oops to him. RidicKulous. But Dwight Howard is crazy dominate. The center position isn't at all what it used to be when Kemp was around. Tho Kemp was a PF. If Dwight Howard can stay healthy and develop any sort of outside game, he can be one of the greatest players ever.

based on this statement Kemp has no chance, Kemp at his peak was barley better than Howard in his 1st season at 19. Howard hasn't reached his peak yet.

Kemp was an amazingly athletic player, vastly entertaining, but as good as he was always seemed to never quite live up to the max. - but Kemp was a better FT shooter.
