Milwaukee Brewers (The Rebuilding Begins)
In 1994 the last remnants of World Series of 1982 had left. Robin Yount had retired, Paul Molitor was playing on another team. After a strong year in 1992 that had them just miss the playoffs they fell off the planet. The Brewers finished 69-93 6th in the NL East. It took them 13 years to avoid another losing season after that. It took 26 years to get back to the playoffs. This diary is an attempt to avoid that fate. To fight the good fight against large market teams and to keep baseball alive and strong in brew city. This is the diary of the 1994 Brewers and beyond.

THE RULES OF THE DIARY
~1.~ BUDGET RESTRAINT: This is rule numeral uno. The Brewers being a small market team will keep within the limits set by the “owner” in the game. If that Budget grows to a level above the midpoint of MLB, the Brewers will not go above that. This means that the Brewers payroll will be in the bottom half of the MLB no matter what.
~2.~ FREE AGENTS: While there is no steadfast rule on FA. I will follow most small market team strategies. I can only sign role players, bull pen support, and no more than 1 expected solid starter in a given year. This includes in season and off season.
~3.~ TRADES: Once again there is no set specific rule, just a general guideline. There will not be an obscene amount of trades during the year. A max of 3 trades can happen during the season including off season. Trades must be either done on the trading block or be brought to the Brewers from another team.
~4.~ RE-SIGNINGS: This is another place where I hope to keep reality in my mind. Small market teams do not generally resign veteran free agents that cost over a certain amount of money. I will follow this rule with Rule #1 in mind. If I can resign a player for cheap and it seems realistic I shall do it. I will not however resign the players that made a big name and a future big contract for themselves.
~5.~ ROOKIES: To keep this diary realistic as that is my number 1 goal, I will not put any player on my mlb roster who is younger than 21 years old unless they have 3 years of minor league experience.
~6.~ COMMISH MODE: I will only used commish mode to try and keep a competitive balance between the teams and the leagues. This may include making trades, releasing people, or creating a sort of rule 5 draft.
GOALS OF THE DIARY:
To entertain myself and others.
To stay with in a realistic budget and environment.
To reach the playoffs before the Brewers did in 2008.
