Matt Wieters’ swing is so powerful, it can be seen from outer space by the naked eye.
This morning, Matt Wieters was the "cover story" on BaseballProspectus.com. Currently, the site is down and experiencing errors. Coincidence? I think not.
The reason other players do steroids is to keep up with Matt Wieters.
Joe Sheehan gets in on the action:
Capping the greatest story in baseball history... no, sports history... the Baltimore Orioles became World Champions last night, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-1 to complete their sweep, and extend their winning streak to 129 games, a stretch that dates to May 25, four days before catcher Matt Wieters made his major league debut.
I just read that BP piece on Wieters. It's a hoot. I lollered several times.
Saw this in the comments - "Joe, you left out that he dates the world's most interesting women and (inexplicably) only drinks Dos Equis." That was worth another loller.
I am actually really looking forward to his debut tonight. Too bad it won't be on TV here. I'm guessing he'll go 8 for 4 with 258 home runs. Or something like that.
Gooo Angels!
mlb.com had "Sliced bread is actually the best thing since Matt Wieters"
For the first time this season, MLB stands for Major League Baseball. Up until now, that name has stood for whichever league Matt Wieters has played in.
Told you.
Gooo Angels!
