LaPorta is a left fielder, could pass in right, and could DH. Grady Sizemore is a center fielder, and Victor Martinez a catcher/first basemen. Neither of them are "blocking" LaPorta. Ben Francisco is not good enough to "block" a hitter of LaPorta's caliber. When he's ready, you make room for him...and the Indians will.
