Love the offense. Excellent balance of all 5 categories. The pitching though...to be brutally honest...sucks. Peavy is great and Gallardo has great upside. You should rack up tons of saves....but Garland? You're going to struggle to rack up wins and strikeouts.
Gordon Beckham??? Granted, he's been tearing it up in ST and could play in the bigs very soon, but wow...
Your starting pitching is next to nonexistent, and you have an overabundance of all power, low AVG guys.
It's an interesting 25th round flyer, but you probably would have been better served picking up a guy like Kawakami (if he isn't already picked up), or Wolf or something.
Beckham won't be playing in April unless Ramirez breaks his neck or something. I could see him at 2B in July (if the Sox are looking bad) or August/September.
Yeah, Beckham will make his debut this year, but I don't expect more than 50-100 at bats, at best, barring injury.
Don't forget Fields and Hafner.
It is pretty balanced overall, but it's one injury to a guy like Martin or Markakis away from being very unbalanced, and weak in AVG. I guess my own personal strategy is to get as many balanced players as possible instead of aiming for a balanced overall offense.
Nice lineup, and your relief crew is ridiculous. Like Houston said, though, your starting pitching looks weak...ESPECIALLY if Peavy keeps taking losses pitching for a bad team.
In honnor of MG i am claiming John Maine for my 4th Starter and dropping Zieglar
Lakers/Cardinals/Patriots/Penguins
Don't mean to take away your thunder Jaker, but I didn't want to start a separate thread.
But what about mine? Any advice? Who should I keep, drop? etc...

Your team looks VERY High Risk High Reward. Weeks, Zimmerman, Furcal, Yunel, Posada, Freddy Sanchez, Schezer, and Chris Young all have big question marks, be it health, or if they will finally perform at their potential. I would drop Sanchez, his stats are going WAY down hill.

i wouldn't like having that many players starting and only 3 bench positions
