Alright, I have made 3 trades, importing 5, exporting 7. I brought in another player from Florida as part of a second deal, and so ust combined it with the first, making it look even better. I also brought in two good relievers.

I think I am in prime position to win the WC now.

I'm going into commish mode to force the trades back, and make the trades at the deadline, however. Hope you enjoy the suspense!

    Expos Win In 10
    7.3.04
The Expos beat the Mets in 10 innings last night. Piazza scored the lone run for the Mets in the third inning with a double.
A bases loaded, 2-out walk from the otherwise fantastic Heilman start allowed the only run scored in the regular session.
As we went to extras, Looper came in to pitch, and the first pitch he threw was hit into the stands for a game-winning homer off the bat of Brad Wilkerson.
Met fans could be seen leaving the stands walking slowly, with there heads down, likely pondering why they keep losing in the big, key situations.

    Rumors Swirling
    7.4.04
Even though the Mets Tom Glavine went 8 strong, shutting out the Expos, and the Mets hit 3 homers in there 6-0 win, the game was overshadowed by the rumors being spread around the league.
Met's GM Omar Minaya has reportedly been speaking with GMs from around the league regarding a lead off man, and relief pitchers. Most notably, Minaya has been in talk with Florida management regarding the availability of second basemen Luis Castillo, outfielder Juan Pierre, and relievers Billy Koch, and Terry Borland.
Florida has reportedly requested Japanese import Kazuo Matsui to be in a deal involving Castillo. They also inquired about Cliff Floyd, who has a 3 year contract, and there top prospect, 2B. Jeff Keppinger.
Look for a possible deal to be done around the All-Star break, a week from now.

If you guess the majority of the trade, then you can have a plyer created too. In order to have a player created, I will give you the amount of players for the amount of players traded, and you have to come +/- 1 incorrect player in order to get credit. If it is a 1 for 1, or 2 for 1 deal, then you have to get both/all players correct.

Look out, I am going to try to snag a good player from a weak team to make a playoff push. Biggest need is a true leadoff man, and a reliever or two. Lower down the list is a leftfielder who can hit a little more for average than Floyd can, and some middle infielders that can hit in the .270's.
Now, if I can't get any of these at a reasonable price, I will have a mini sell, trading away older producers for good prospects like Piazza, Floyd, and Bernie (who will likely get traded anyway, seeing as how he won't resign with me).
Forgot to add youth at starting pitching.

Anyways, here is basically what I am trading for. I am not trading for all of these, but most this is what I traded for to a key.

I will be posting the Marlins roster up shortly, so you can try to put that trade together. Refer back to my last monthly update for my rosters.

Mets Travel To Florida For Series
    7.5.04
The Mets play 3 games in Florida before the All-Star break. The most important part of this is that it isn’t the last series before heading into the All-Star, what is important, is who it is against: the Marlins. This means that Minaya can speak face to face with Marlin management regarding their possible trade.

Punto With Game-Winning Single; Negotiations Further
    7.6.04
The Mets beat the Fish last night with a ninth inning single by Punto. The win is important, but not as important as the progression of the negotiation that has surfaced.
The Mets, and Marlins reportedly reached a preliminary agreement, sending Castillo, and Pierre to the Mets for Cliff Floyd, Kazuo Matsui, and Tyler Yates.

    Mets Finalize Deal
    7.8.04
The Marlins, not 100% happy with the preliminary agreement asked the Mets to add there two prospects that are ready for the big leagues: Jeff Keppinger, and Jeff Duncan. In return, the Mets asked for rookie lefty hurler, Dontrelle Willis. The Marlins agreed, as they have a surplus of pitching talent in the minors.
To the Mets: CF. Juan Pierre (86/89), 2B. Luis Castillo (81), SP. Dontrelle Willis (80/92)
To the Marlins: LF. Cliff Floyd (78), 2B. Kazuo Matsui (72/85), RP. Tyler Yates (73/80), 2B. Jeff Keppinger (84/93), CF. Jeff Duncan (79/86)

Close. I'll be getting relief pitchers from other clubs. So, you got one wrong from Marlins, and one, or two wrong for Mets.
Borland is staying a Fish. The two RPs you listed were older type guys, and prospect could be a 25 year old 79/86 guy, idk, depends who you are, but I will give that to you. Regardless, you were two off. Close though.

Mets Trade Bernie Back To New York
    7.9.04
The Mets traded Bernie Williams (84) back to the Yankees, along with relief pitchers Dave Weathers (77), and Grant Roberts (75/81) for Gary Sheffield (86), and Joba Chamberlain (65/80)
The Mets have also been talking to Milwaukee about Danny Kolb. Kolb has saved 26 of the Brewer's 38 wins. Milwaukee who is clearly out of contention, has apparently been in the market for starting pitching, as they have 3 propsects in there current starting rotation.
