From when Cameron introduced the ownership section:
I’m going to add in a section on ownership, which will cover the team’s financial health as well as the qualities of the upper level executives not in the baseball operations department.

So if I read this correctly then your saying the A's should have been given a better grade?

No...because they are in one of the worst financial situations in the game.

Like I said, it depends on the respective financial situations and owners.

Hard to say if it's Tampa or Boston. I would vote Tampa but I could see Boston taking #1 with their finances.

The top 3 are fairly interchangeable.

The Yankees' money is probably the biggest advantage any team has in any area...they should probably be #1

They're far behind on young talent, though.

I agree with the Yankees at #3. I would call Boston and Tampa a tie.

Don't wanna sound like a homer, but I agree... Nothing can overcome the money the Yanks have.

Extrapolate this out into perpetuity. The Yankees have the brightest future because those revenue streams aren't going way. GM's will come and go, young talent will grow old. The Yankees' money will keep pouring in.

It depends on what "future" you're look for. If you're looking at the ENTIRE future, yes, I agree...this exercise is looking at the near/mid-term future, like the next 5-10 years.

Woohoo! AL East DOMINATION! Which, honestly, is how its supposed to be. I'm sure 95% of all World Series predictions have Tampa, Boston, or the Yankees there, and all 3 teams are strongly committed to keeping on top
