Seeing how I kinda know what you are going to try and say. I don't consider the position of Pitcher in baseball to be the same as Quarterback in football.

I just thought about how the hell this thread about Matt Cassell turned into Jay Cutler. lol

The quarterback doesn't have control over his defense, Jay Cutler shouldn't be blamed for everything that happened to this Denver squad on the opposite side of the ball.

Do you consider Dan Marino not as great a QB as, say, Doug Williams because big Doug won a title??

And by your logic Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time? He won the most games so...

There's certainly a strong argument for that....

I'm not the only one who knows the truth about Matt Ryan.

    More or less...

I would have to say no though. He is the all time interceptions leader. He's a gunslinger, through and through.

Montana and Marino are two I would consider better then big Brett.

I have to say, I was really impressed with Rivers this year. Had he put up numbers like that previously, he never would have shut up..."Look how awesome I am!" He really does seem to have grown up. Now hopefully Cutler follows in his footsteps. I like the way the kid plays, but right now he needs nothing more than a good hard backhand across the face.

Detroit does take a cap hit absorbing the rest of Redding's guaranteed money, but in terms of talent they win this deal. Redding had one decent year in his contract year and Millen made him the (then) highest paid defensive tackle in the league. Peterson's been an all star player numerous times (and a deserving one).

And with the releases of Torry Holt and Orlando Pace, the Rams are officially realizing it's time to rebuild.
