    Type A FA's without compensation

    Not sure if this has ever been brought up in the past, but this would be interesting. I'm not sure what other compensation the teams would need to pass up on the first round draft pick, but it could be interesting if something like this happened.

    I wonder what would happen also if a team took on the contract to trade them, but the other team decided they didn't want the player anymore. Would the team re-signing the FA be stuck with him?

    I assume it would be like the NBA's sign & trades, where both the agreed contract & layout of the trade are submitted to the commish for the ok
