    Orlando Hudson

I'll make the semi-bold prediction right now.

Hudson will sign a two year contract with the Royals next Thursday.

Why aren't more teams interested in him? Injury concerns would be the only reason I can see...he missed time last year b/c of a broken wrist (if I recall correctly), but that doesn't seem like the type of injury that would be considered a chronic or career-threatening injury or anything..but a lot of teams appear to be backing away from him.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

That would not be an awful signing at all, I would like to see it happen.

Yep, he suffered a broken wrist two years in a row around the same time of year with the D'Backs.

He had a down year in pitch recognition last year, but that hardly seems reason for him to be so ignored

I guess when I think of a broken wrist, I think of it as more of a "freak" injury or something that just happens from getting hit in the wrong spot or whatever..not something that is likely to bother him for the rest of his career or affect his performance in the future. Perhaps I'm wrong about that or perhaps the injury hasn't healed yet.

No, I'd say your right on the injury front. This is just an odd off-season in terms of when, where, and how the premier free agents are signing. I wouldn't put much stock into the fact that he's not signed yet, it's happening all over the place.

That was something Ewing said, not me. Yes, I used it in my signature, because I found it funny. However, why are you pointing this out in sports talk?

because its in your signature in a sports talk room and I was pretty appalled you actually sunk to that level. Finding it funny is one thing, putting it in your signature on every post is a separate issue.

Well, you could have PMed me or posted in OILF. If you don't like it, I will change it, however. But it was not necessitate to draw this thread off topic.

Not just that he isn't signed...but an overall lack of interest. I mean, maybe I'm misremembering, but it seems like the only things I've heard about Hudson this offseason is teams no longer wanting him or going after him. He isn't an amazing player, but I'd imagine a lot of teams would see an upgrade at 2B if he signed with them..but it seems like he's unwanted everywhere. Hopefully KC can sign him...maybe a one-year deal with an option and incentives.

Were you aware that Buster Olney reported that the Royals are trying to make budget room for Hudson?
