Seems to be the Dodgers luck these days.
I don't see .285/40/120, since even his best seasons weren't like that (though he had higher BA, HRs and RBIs, in different seasons), though I assume you're being facetious.

I do see him bouncing back somewhat... maybe .250/.330/.440 with 25ish HR? Hey, who knows, he's only 32... But as much as there are rumors of him losing weight, there's factual evidence that he's been SUCKING in winter ball, so it's hard to say what he'll do.

Still, I'm glad he's gone, no matter how many HRs he hits from here on out. It's an embarrassing chapter in recent Dodger history that I want to see closed.

This is a point that I think more people need to understand.

    Seriously.

And I pretty much agree with your sentiment about records... I was about to post something saying that a HR record is overrated anyway, and is more meaningful to the absolutely most casual fan possible than it is to anyone who really follows the game, even half-assed.

Jones probably had the worst season any player has ever had in the history of baseball, considering what he was paid. I'll take 2002 Darren Dreifort or 2008 Jason Schmidt over 2008 Andruw Jones ANY DAY. At least they didn't take the field and hurt their teams' chances of winning.

what has confused me the most about the Dodgers is how they sign all these bust players, but trade a player like Piazza away.

    And Pedro Martinez

Though I'm sure ALL Dodger fans would like to forget that particular trade.

Apparently a large portion of the population believes 755 is greater than 762.

    I'm 38. I'm 40 pounds lighter than when I was 23. I guess I'm not taking roids!

I'm guessing you're the exception to the rule. Either that, or you sold your soul to Satan.

    Or I used to be a fat-ass.

Over the last 10 years, my wife and I have lost over 100 pounds combined...
