When I think of the best teammates, I cant help but think of the lethal duo of Sid Bream and Mark Lemke.

Why? Was Victor Zambrano the key secret piece to the Johan deal?

What about Ortiz and Tek in Seattle along with A-Rod, Griffey, and Johnson? That team would have won at least one WS. And what if we kept Randy Winn as well. An outfield of Winn, Griffey and Ichiro would been great in the early 2000s.

Well I think he is saying that if they had Kazmir, there wouldn't have been that pressing need for an ace-like starter who was left handed. I mean, without Kazmir, they would have had basically no top starters, so they had to go get a Johan Santana. However, if they had a Scott Kazmir, people can question rather or not the Mets would have traded young players for him.

Red Sox had the first chance at him I believe (at least that's what I remember reading in Summer of '49). Imagine Willie in center and Teddy Ballgame in left.

What about the brilliant trade of Joe Jackson for Bris Lord. The A's still had a nice dynasty, but who knows how could they really could have been.

True, but Hanley has more future value than lowell and Beckett have.
