    Best teamates

I always like to look back and say "what if this deal hadn't been made?"

Like if the Cardinals had just given Carlton the raise he wanted, what could Carlton and Gibson have done together? What if Pedro and Randy Johnson had stayed in Montreal? Would the Expos still be in Canada and exist?

So my question for you...what do you think could have been the best combo, had a deal never been made to part ways with someone.

What could the Mariners have been? Griffey, Johnson, A-Rod?

Every baseball simulation game I've ever had has seen me start with the M's in early 90's at some point...the answer to this question is they would have been dominant (at least in the BBM & OOTP worlds they are)

What other major moves have kept amazing teams from happening? How many great players came and went in Montreal? Dawson, Carter, Galaraga etc.

I can only think of one major bonehead time in the Cardinals history, which was the Carlton deal. Obviously the Babe Ruth trade. But what are some other what ifs?

What about if Pedro hadn't of been traded (damn you Jody Reed) from the Dodgers. Pedro and Ramon as a 1-2 punch

from the other perspective, would the braves have had that run of theirs if it wasn't for the smoltz trade?

Yea, definitely the Mariners with A-Rod, Griffey and Johnson but also the mariners if they kept Johnson, Pedro and Vlad.

An even better question is how many fricking homeruns would Ken Griffey have if he didn't get injured multiple times.

    And the Maddux trade.

Griffey, if he couldv'e been healthy, and I've heard that he had a poor work ethic. and they keep a-rod along with ichiro. You are talking about a team that would consistenly win it all

    at least offensively

How about the immortal Boston Braves turning down Willie Mays. Imagine him and Hank Aaron in the same outfield.

maddux was a signing not a trade... BUT what if the trade for bonds had gone thru and the bravs had bonds and the jones boys together.... now THAT is scary lol

I'd love to see Scott Kazmir as the Mets 2nd starter right about now
