Thats too bad, I can understand their frustration with MLB.

I take it that aluminum bats are not allowed in MLB?...that would seem to be one answer...

The interesting thing is that baseball tested the quality of the bat in terms of how far it hit the ball - but not whether ash or maple are more dangerous. If maple bats are dangerous, then I don't see the problem with banning them - then everything is equal. Power numbers might fall, but I don't have a problem with that. That doesn't help the guy that owns a maple bat company - but it does help the guy with an ash bat company. Since I don't own either, that isn't too important to me.
