Does this take in to account health and injuries and how often players most likely need rests? Because if not then it's something cool to look at but nothing more.

It's based of the projections by The Hardball Times, which don't account for the likelihood of an injury (how could a one-season projection?) but do account for things like age. A Randy Johnson will be projected to a lower innings total than Mark Buerhle, for example.

Either way, a projection this early is always just something cool to look at, but nothing more.
