    Baseball Pitches

Not sure if this belongs here or in OiLF so if it should be in left field can someone move it?

Anyway this year I'm moving up a division in baseball and im going to be playing with people who are 1.5 years older than me. I used to be able to just blow my fastball by hitters when they were the same age or younger then me but i don't think ill be able to do that anymore. So my question is do any of you guys know baseball pitches that don't hurt your arm/shoulder much that have a break on it??? If you do what are they and how do you throw them

Haha ive actually been working on that for a few weeks, i can throw a decent knuckler about 40 feet. Hopefully by the time the season starts i can throw it all the way to home plate.

Change up. It can work so well if you practice a lot.

depending on how good your fastball is, you may want to look at a splitter (no idea how stressful the pitch is to your arm/shoulder though as i was never a pitcher)

Try the Slider or Cutter. i can throw both averagely, and a sorta sinker thing

You can throw a good slider by just having your two fingers on the far seam a you're holding a two-seam fastball(the far right seam if you're a righty). It works for me at least.

A splitter might be a good idea, but it can screw up your hand and/or fingers. A change up is relatively "easy" to throw, but takes a lot of practice to make it work and to make it not look obvious in its delivery.

You could also try the type of slider where you basically take the fastball grip and turn your wrist 90 degrees outward. Try throwing it like a football, basically, and let it roll off your fingers.

How old are you?? If you are in HS, and you are throwing a 65 MPH fastball, I would suggest a Knuckleball......If you are in middle school, I would say work on your fast ball to get it in the mid 80's, then on the side work on a cutter or a sharp curve ball

If he is 36 and has a fastball of 65, he should try out for my softball team........
