They are bad questions, though. It's not any of your business to worry about the precise punishment of others. If the member in question wishes to discuss the issue with you or anyone else, that's their business. Otherwise, it's inappropriate to discuss in public. Public humiliation is not a constructive community activity.
That is why I can, and will, deflect all of these questions, regardless of whom their about or how they are phrased. It is a simple question, but it does not deserve an answer.

I'd also like to mention that this puerile concern over others business is at the root of many of the problems that we've been seeing recently. Mind your own business, talk about Mogul, other video games, or sports, and leave it at that. This isn't a chat forum, there's a purpose behind it being here. Some discussion of other topics is good, but too much dilutes the reason that we're all here. If you wish to discuss interpersonal issues, there are many forums and other means of communication that are much more appropriate avenues of communication then this forum is.

And now this thread should be closed left for others to simply read. I think we've said enough.

Agreed. Some of the discussions are way off line and too personal. This forum is about Football and baseball mogul and shouldn't be about too much else.

I disagree. Part of the reason that I started this thread is to discuss exactly this. This thread is a "safe" outlet for exactly the discussion that is occurring.

That's fine, I guess in my mind enough has been said about this issue. Sorry if you got the wrong idea with the comment.

    Re: Talk to the Moderators

I think a simple but effective system would be a sort of... binary-style ban progression.

    A first-time offender gets a day.

If you get tapped on the shoulder again, you're out for two.

One more time? That'll be four days, thank you.

A fourth infraction gets eight days.

It's not draconian enough to really slam a member for a couple of innocuous slip-ups, but it escalates quickly enough that even the repeat offenders will catch on eventually.

Changing the subject slightly.....why not move General discussion to the bottom of the forums and let BM and FM be the first thing visitors see and maybe the game will be discussed more.

maybe we can have a 'juniors' section where posters could be forced to graduate from before being able to post their non-sense all willy nilly?

How about you let your posts speak for themselves? If you are truly posting better then you shouldn't have to draw attention to it, people should notice on their own.

I am just tired of them whining about it. Not even you or Jaker have been posting nonsense since the ban.
