Oh yes you will have to worry in time. When your cable service's subscription with MTV Networks runs out, MTV Networks will ask for insane amounts of money to renew the subscription, the cable provider won't take it and MTV Networks will lose even more customers.

Metsguy, do you really need two threads (one in the 'sports talk'- section I might add) to talk about the channels you're losing?

You completely misunderstood what I was saying.

Switch to ComCast, DirecTv, Dish Network, or any of ther others

Switch from Time Warner Cable to Time Warner Cable?

And the others don't carry certain stations. Besides, Time Warner Cable really works for their customers and cares for us.

    SO GOOD
Because we'd have to pay 3 times as much if they agree to MTV Networks' current terms.

I watch those channels because I enjoy learning about stuff that's interesting. Not sitting in my room watching music videos.

Comedy Central, last time I checked, doesn't show music videos.

Let's get back to the fact that these stations are mostly non-educational

Not all of us have a lot of options.

I rent, so I'm stuck with cable. And like the vast majority of places in the US, we only have 1 cable provider that we can get service from.
