    Re: Red Sox moves

The Red Sox signed Alan Embree yesterday to a minor league contract and a spring training invitation. They haven't been happy with the other lefties so far behind Ohkajima.
Ready for Offseason rumors and trade talk!

    Just for fun BBM10 roster:

    Busy week, let's summarize.

lefty Alan Embree was signed to a minor-league deal on Mar 20th

lefty Brian Shouse was released, despite a 0.96 ERA in his spring outings thus far.

Then they traded for Kevin Frandsen, as Fili announced above. Infield depth.

Scott Shoenweiss signed today for bullpen depth

Deal with Beckett is complete: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?...tnerId=rss_bos

    4-year, $68mil deal.

With him, Lackey, and Dice-K for the next 2 years at least, and Lester locked up, not much $$ left over for Wake/Buch.

    1) After his bad start why would they resign him then?
    2) There isnt going to be a 2014

All kinds of stuff happened. Ellsbury and Cameron out. Darnell McDonald up, Reddick up then back down, Van Every re-acquired and put in the OF. Dice-K came back!

Today, this nugget on Mike Lowell's frustration with the club:

Certainly understandable. The DH and other guys are struggling, the team is losing, and Lowell is the forgotten man riding the pine. Seems unfortunate.
