1909
NL MVP- Honus Wagner (6th NL MVP Award!)
AL MVP- Ty Cobb
NL Cy Young- Mordecai Brown
AL Cy Young (TIE)- Harry Krause/George Mullin
Both MVPs were clear choices, with Honus Wagner winning his 6th MetsGuy MVP award. I agonized a bit over the Cy Youngs though, as both leagues had many strong candidates. The people I was considering for each award:
NL: Mordecai Brown, Christy Mathewson, Orval Overall
AL: Harry Krause, George Mullin, Frank Smith, Addie Joss
In the NL, after much deliberation, I felt that Brown had the best overall season out of those 3.
In the AL, I originally was going to just select Krause, but after perusing Mullin's stats some more, I decided to give them a joint Cy Young Award
1910
NL MVP- Sherry Magee
AL MVP- Ty Cobb
NL Cy Young- Mordecai Brown
AL Cy Young- Ed Walsh
Magee and Cobb both were obvious choices, they let their leagues in many categories. The NL Cy Young wasn't quite as clear-cut, but I still awarded it to Mordecai Brown after not that much deliberation.
The AL Cy Young made me do something tough though. I gave an award to a pitcher who was 18-20. IMO, his other stats were just extraordinary across the board, so he deserved this award.

if I was metsguy...
1912:
AL MVP: Tris Speaker
NL MVP: Johnny Evers
AL CY: Smoky Joe Wood
NL CY: Rube Marquard
My AL MVP is Tris, because even though Ty Cobb hit .409 and had the best Slugging % I cant help but take away the fact he was racist.
My NL MVP is Johnny Evers because of that famous poem, it was neato. Also Heine Zimmerman lead in most catagories and played catcher, but his name is too funny to seriously consider.
My AL Cy Young: Smoky Joe Wood had 36 wins, holy cow! Thats fantastic, Johan Santana cant even do that.
MY NL Cy Young: I love wins, he lead the league. So there it is. He also was a nice guy not racist or anything so I had to give it to him.
