Lance Niekro, recently signed to a minor league deal by Atlanta, is going to to attempt to follow in the footsteps of his father and uncle by reinventing himself as a knuckleballer! Interesting stuff.

Interestingly, former Brave Mark Lemke tried to convert to a knuckleball pitcher after he went back to the minors after the '98 season.
