Lakers/Cardinals/Patriots/Penguins
Not Philip Rivers ? that has to be a joke ...
And Brett Favre ? my god, have people not noticed his season? outside of the one game vs Arizona he's been average while Rivers has been the best QB in football!
Ronnie Brown over Steve Slanton ? with the exception of TDs (10-8) Slaton leads in every catagory ( att, yards, yrd/att, yrd/game)
Ugh ...
Neither Manning should be there... Peyton murdered my fantasy team and Eli is uber overrated.

And this is why the Pro Bowl is a joke.
The QB's should be: Rivers starting, Manning, Cutler.
But Favre has the name...and the Jets have a winning record...and the fans are voting...
RSR, Manning has been one of the better QB's in the league the past few weeks. He's had a slight down year due to a slow start by the Colts but he has had another good year in his hall of fame career.
And Eli...well I do agree he shouldn't be there...he hasn't been outstanding he's just on a really good team.
Actually, only 1/3 is the fans. But yeah, some of these results are out there...
Good thing Walter Jones made it. This may be his last season. *sobs*![]()
Nice to see Lance Briggs get the starting. He's been the only truly bright spot on a lousy, dying, pathetic defense. Also nice to see that no other Bears snuck onto the Pro Bowl team undeservedly.
Red Sox : Actually, Peyton's been really good since his line got healthy. And Eli's had a very good season this year.
I really don't have any issues with the NFC team...sure, in a few cases I voted for different guys, but I have no fault with the players who made it instead.
The AFC team, though...no Rivers AND no Slaton is patently ridiculous. Antonio Gates?! He's been far too inconsistent, and should be behind Owen Daniels and Dallas Clark (and maybe Zach Miller, considering how bit the players around him are). I haven't been impressed with the play of the lines in KC OR San Diego, so the Dielman and Waters picks are just stupid (Ben Grubbs in Baltimore has been fantastic all year, and Ben Hamilton has been pretty good in Denver). All I've seen of Joe Thomas this year is pass rushers running around him to kill the QB. Can someone explain to me how Terrell Suggs has apparently had a better year than Lamarr Woodley?
Half the players will be too injured to play or act like they're too injured to play, so the deserving players will be added later.
The Pro Bowl is a joke that nobody takes seriously
One more Bears note... It'd be nice to see Alex Brown added as an alternate, though he absolutely won't be. He's quietly had an absolutely amazing season (as usual), especially against the run, where he's a total beast. That guy is possibly the most overlooked defensive player in all of football.
Eli has had a very good season by his standards but he is not the third best QB in the NFC. Brees, Warner and Romo surpass him BY FAR.
Owen Daniels is a rising star and the second best TE in the AFC. The one pick on the O-line I hate is no Ryan Clady. He has given up ONE SACK this season. ONE. Jay Cutler's line has been one of the tops in the league and not one of them get to go to the pro bowl? Terrible.
No Rivers is what gets to me the most, even though I can not stand the guy he has surpassed my expectations this season and has been a bright spot on a struggling Chargers team.

I dont get all in open arms about something I dont watch.
I don't disagree about Romo, though I actually voted for Aaron Rodgers over either him OR Eli. If Romo hadn't missed a bunch of games, it would have been him, though.
And I DID vote for Clady...him, Michael Roos (who has probably been the best tackle in the league this year) and Vernon Carey (I ALWAYS pick at least one RT, and he's been a beast on that side) were my T picks. I absolutely agree he should have made it, AND Ben Hamilton.
Actually, I don't watch ANY All Star Game...I don't find any of them all that entertaining. I do pay attention to who gets picked, though, as opposed to who deserves to be there. And from a lot of articles I've read, and comments from actual players, the players actually are they absolute worst when it comes to their selections, much more so than the fan votes.Originally Posted by ragecage

Rodgers didn't impress me as much as Romo did. And the way the Cowboys played without Romo is another big thing for me...he's the catalyst of that offense...unlike Eli who you could plug a few other QB's into that system and be just fine I would think.
