    Ah...

    Things don't look so bleak after all for the Dodgers in '09.

    Now there's only 14 other FAs to replace.

    It was definitley cheap what the agents did, but it wasn't against any rules. It's a business, there job is to give there client the best deal possible. Obviously Furcal wanted a 3 year deal, and they used that offer the Braves gave them against them and showed it to the Dodgers, then the Dodgers matched there offer. They did something that was really cheap, but legal.

    I think what it comes down to is that Furcal would rather be in Los Angeles than in Atlanta. I can't speak for him, but God knows I'd take Los Angeles over Atlanta any day of the week in terms of the city itself. But aside from that, the Dodgers are more likely to be winners (as the Braves have been unable to land Peavy, or any other players), he has already "been there, done that," and I bet this decision came down to him and not his agents.
