You know what would be funny? If Juilo was actually a good relief pitcher for the Brewers, and I hope that happens.

I'd really expect a forum full of wannabe GM's to appreciate the importance of 'inconsequential' deals more than the general public...guess not.

A switch of backup catchers???? You expect there to be a thread on the 100s and 100s and 100s of minor transactions that take place in the offseason??

Hey, the Royals received Jordan Parazz as the PTBNL in the Tyler Lumsden deal!! Thread.

The Royals non-tendered Joey Gathright. Thread.

Esteban German. Resigned for one year. Thread.

    I

...me thinks the thread might get a little silly at that rate. I'd say this is clearly a pretty pointless thread.

Come November next year when Ronny Paulino's got the MVP Award in his hands, we all won't be laughing quite as hard.

I'm surprised the Yankees haven't come up in this thread, o wait...they have now!

No...but there is a thread on Ronnie Paulino

Pointless for you perhaps. Which is why Zeus gave us the ability to read and not comment.

That's the beauty of threads like this. If people are interested in a thread they comment on it and share information with people with similar interests. And others, who have no interest, can find a thread they are interested in.

Such intolerance and arrogance (homage intended) to think that because something is not interesting to you (not you specifically KK) that it's not interesting to someone else.

That makes two of us not interested in this thread.

If everyone started a new thread for every little thing they were interested in, the board would be way too cluttered to even read. A trade of Ronny Paulino for Jason Jamarillo or whoever is simply not threadworthy anywhere but a Pirates or Phillies forum.

It's not like we're calling for metsguy to be banned or we are insulting him a whole lot...but in a thread like this...there's gonna be some comments about how pointless it is.

I would offer that threads, and then the forum, get a lot more cluttered when people do what WE are doing right now and discussing something totally unrelated to the thread in the thread...

I guess you must be completely understanding when your (wife?husband?gay lover?mother?father?priest?god?parole officer?spiritual advisor?whatever) tells you that every post you make on the baseball mogul forum is pointless in their eyes right?

Well...if I tried to talk to my father about my posts on an internet forum that he has no clue about....he'd be right to tell me that he doesn't give a sh*t and it would be a completely pointless conversation. I don't see what that has to do with anything....

Getting off topic in one particular thread is a lot better than a ton of threads about irrelevant things cluttering up the forum. Doesn't really matter though.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

Damn! The David Ross is not going to be a Red Sox next year! There goes our World Series.
